At 4am on Saturday June 11, 2022, my family and my life changed forever, at 12 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with a rare GTN cancer due to a complete twin molar pregnancy. I am in stage 3 lung cancer. On Sunday June 12th around 2am, I had emergency D&E surgery to remove the pregnancy and rapidly spreading cancer cells from my uterus, I was already 1CM dilated, and the doctors could not stop my bleeding. I received 5 bags of blood that day, 2 bags on the operating table as I was severely unstable. I didn’t have to have a hysterectomy and still have all of my reproductive organs. This was my third miscarriage in two years.
Due the rapid and aggressive cancer spread, Wednesday June 15th I had my chemo port installed into my chest and on Thursday June 16th - I started chemotherapy. I have 12 rounds each 14 days until November.
I in good spirits, have an amazing team of doctors (Tx Oncology) and nurses (Harris 7)! I am so blessed to have support from family and friends near and far.
Please follow my journey on social media as I spreads education and awareness on this very rare condition!
*Please keep all questions and comments respectful as this is a very difficult time for my family and I. I am not here to debate, talk politics or dissuade anyone from getting pregnant, my only goal is to educate and bring awareness to this very rare condition 💙.
Thank you for the support! 💕
