Anyone that knows Shelly, knows she has the most Caring and Giving Heart. Her heart is currently weak and tomorrow, Monday June 20th, she will undergo her third Open-Heart Surgery.

This surgery is due to a torrential tricuspid regurgitation. This currently has caused heart enlargement along with some other health issues. She will be getting her tricuspid valve replaced with a mechanical one. They also need to remove her current mechanical aortic valve (which she had replaced in her last surgery) and also replace that one with a new mechanical one. In addition, she will be getting her existing pacemaker and leads removed to put in new ones - this will be the riskiest procedure and complicated by arterial occlusions.

The surgery will take place at Abbott Heart Hospital and will be performed by two different surgical teams. Immediately following surgery, she will be in ICU for a few days, then the duration of her hospital stay will be determined, then an expected 3 month recovery at home.

This page was created to keep everyone updated on the surgery and her recovery. Check back for updates and feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Please keep Shelly and her family in your thoughts and prayers. We All Love Her So Much and we know that She Has Got This!! ❤️
