On Sunday June 4 Sheldon was on vacation at Ten Mile Lake in Hackensack MN. He was going to get into his boat when the boat shifted away from the dock. Sheldon fell in between the boat and dock striking his mid back on the dock. The ambulance came and transported to Park Rapids Hospital. He was in severe pain. CT scan was done showing a severely displaced fracture at T11 and T12 in his back. The emergency department physician said he was amazed there was no paralysis. He was then airlifted to Saint Cloud for emergency surgery.
