Sheila Collingwood Sheila's fight

First post: Jun 1, 2020 Latest post: Jun 1, 2021
On May 30,2020 my mom had taken a fall in her home. This fall caused her to hit her head hard causing her head to disconnect from her spine.  After taken to the hospital it was discovered that she also broke her back. Sheila was then life delighted to Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. During the flight she coded taking the team 20 mins to bring her back to us. After getting to Rochester Sheila under went a 8 hour surgery to fix what they could. She shattered her spine from C6 on down. Sheila will be in a wheel chair for the rest of her life. Now it's just a waiting game to see how much upper body movement she will get back. So far she can move her shoulders, elbows and is able to slightly squeeze my hand.
