It began back in July 2016. Just some back pain and fatigue that was explained away and treated as symptoms of a previous diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Then the problems increased. By October, there were new issues like increased pain, difficulty getting in the car and up and down stairs. Continued checkups - no answers. By November, she couldn't walk unassisted. By February, hospitalization. After lots of MRI's, X-rays, and labs, Sheila Brody was diagnosed on February 21, 2017 with Multiple Myeloma, which is bone marrow cancer. Things progressed very fast and she is very ill. And the prognosis is grim. Sheila will begin aggressive chemotherapy next week and that's really where things stand right now. She needs a miracle and your support! Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
