Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Sheila was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on Friday May 27, 2016 at the age of 50. There were no symptoms present and this came as a result of her routine mammogram. She elected to have a 3D mammogram which most likely led to a very early detection. For those who do not know, Sheila was adopted at birth so we have no family medical history. She is currently consulting with a team of doctors at Olathe Medical Center. We feel very comfortable with OMC and it is close to work / home. Please keep Sheila in your thoughts and prayers as she begins this journey. We will post updates on this site as often as possible.
