Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Mom was diagnosed with Stage 2A Invasive Ductal Carinoma of the breast. Radiation was prescribed and Mom completed 16 treatments like a trooper. After various genetic tests, her oncologist recommended chemotherapy as a precaution and follow-up to the radiation.  She began the chemotherapy on April 28 and will continue with a bi-monthly treatment for 4 months. While this isn't a desirable path to be on, Mom has the most gracious and positive outlook for optimal results. She has remained steadfast in her faith and assurance that the Lord cares for her and is faithful to be with her the whole way. Mom exudes such confidence and calm that it comforts her family during what is one of the most troubling journeys to walk. Heck, she even brings treats to us, her daughters, when we accompany her to her doctor visits....because that's just how awesome she is! We know that she must have some degree of private fears and anxiousness so we appreciate your prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement.  Mom lives alone, with her cat Muffin, and so it's a delicate balance of wanting to care for her, check in on her but also not disturb her if she's resting. She has already received some medical bills that aren't covered by insurance, which can add to the anxiety of the situation, not to mention the reality of losing her hair, losing her appetite and just generally feeling icky. We ask for your prayers for healing, for good health throughout the treatments, for financial provision and for the Lord to help us as her family to know how to best care for her.  Thank you for visiting!  God bless you!
