Sharon suffered an ischemic stroke on Monday February 14. We think it’s because dad didn’t get her a good enough Valentine’s Day gift 😂. They had just gotten home from a wonder cruise two days before. They were out getting groceries and mom didn’t feel good and was having a hard time walking/standing. Dad brought her home and unloaded the groceries and in that short time moms health declined to the point that dad carried mom to the car and drove her to urgent care. With in 15 minutes the doctor gave TPA to her to break up the clot. She was then transferred to McAllen hospital. She had an MRI yesterday and it shows she also has a brain aneurysm. They were going to do surgery but have since decided the risk was too high.
She is doing great. She has function in her limbs but is struggling with her speech. She will be transferred to the stroke rehabilitation center in the hospital soon as will be there for 6-14 days depending on her progress.
