Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

First we want to say thank you for all the love, support,  thoughts, prayers and well wishes that you all have sent our way.  The past few weeks have been a bit overwhelming.  There's quite a bit to coordinate and process. We would love to talk with each of you personally but obviously we can not.  We apologize and don't want this to seem impersonal but we're going to try and catch everyone up on status of events:
- unfortunately cancer is back.  Drs. Had been monitoring some areas of concern and recent scans and bloodwork confirmed recurrence in same areas of the previous surgeries.
- recurrence in fallopian tube cancer is quite common.  Its been 18 months since completing chemo from my original diagnosis.
- my oncologists agree that a traditional chemo regimen will likely result in a recurrence,  so we need a new innovative and aggressive approach.
- HIPEC - hypothermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy.   Simply put,  surgery to remove all visible tumors and disease.    Phase two of the surgery they fill the abdominal cavity with chemo liquids, heat the liquids,  temporarily closing the abdomen and washing the chemo fluids internally.  Pump out liquids,  flush abdomen....close and recover.
- my Nashville team of oncologists have referred me to a doctor at the University of California at Irvine for this procedure.   Not readily practiced or available in Nashville.
- Saturday 11/3, we'll be temporarily relocating to Southern California
 - Monday 11/ 5 admission and registration in a related surgical trial
- Wednesday 11/7 surgery

Post-op will include an extended hospital stay and recovery before we can fly back to Nashville.   Joan will be residing at the ALO hotel across from the medical center.   Starbucks  and buffalo wild wings all within walking distance!

Faith, hope and trust. We're outta here.  We'll be in touch.  🤞👍❤
