Welcome to Sharon's page.  Our Mom had a an accident on July 19th around 4am .  If you know her, it's  a not uncommon for her to be awake in the middle of the night!  We don't know why exactly but she  fell down some or all of the stairs  while in MN to visit Tara.  She was taken by ambulance to Windom and then had her second ever helicopter ride to Sanford in Sioux Falls.
She has a broken C1 and C2 in the upper neck and a bruise to her spinal cord.   She has not regained consciousness as of now. That's the bad news!
The somewhat positive news...she has been initiating most of her breathe on the ventilator, her pupils are responsive, and her reflexes have picked up.
On a personal note her toenails are super impressive and the pedi is really paying off!
. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
