We will use this site to update appointments, treatments, and for any prayer request. We all know we need prayer warriors to help us along our way. I am Kevin's sister Lorie and I will be helping keep updates. Along with Sharon and her family. Please feel free to leave her messages to read and words of wisdom and love to help her through this journey.


Upon a doctor visit with Dr. Salmon for laryngitis at the end of June a mass was located in my thoracic region and vocal cord. I was then referred to Dr. Paul Moore a cardiologist who performed a biopsy on August 22nd at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. They called and confirmed that it was cancer. The pathology report listed it as (adenocarcinoma) which there are different types according to different markers and location or origin of the cancer.


He has referred me to an oncologist, Dr. Catherine Heltsley. My appointment is Monday the 28th at 2:30 . They will let me know more information and what my treatment options will be. This seems like it was taken forever to get anything done. Now it is seems like boom, boom and doesn't stop. I am ready to tackle this head on. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends. The boys are handling it well. I feel they need protected from this and I know they will both need love and support.


Kevin has made every step with me, but as we all know his patience wears thin and I just have to give him space to regroup. Lol. My mom, who is my best friend has never left my side. My siblings and Kevin's family has surrounded me with love. I know this is only the beginning but I know my God will carry me and my family through this journey.


I will ask for my friends and families prayers and guidance today and each day ahead to fight the good fight.
