Sharon Chapman

I’ve decided to start a journal of my path to recovery.  Today is day 6 of recovery from a left mastectomy and tram flap reconstruction. The doctors really don’t prepare you for the end result. The pain level is higher than I’ve ever experienced and the reconstruction looks like it failed. Not to worry says the doctor the pain will eventually subside and the reconstruction will fall into place in about a year.   All very worth it to have this cancer out of my body.

My next hurdle is the pathology results. They are due to me by October 25. Saying prayers that margins are clear and sentinel lymph node is clean.

Without this vast network of support and love that I am receiving, I know this battle would be so much harder. You all give me the strength to stay strong.

Much love ❤️
