Thanks for checking in. Here’s my story so far... Back in early October, 2017 I started having back aches, mostly on my left side. I did the usual chiropractor - had a little relief - but then the pain moved to my right side. It felt different. So I went to the doctor. He was thinking shingles because it went from one nerve endingto the other. But after a week I didn’t break out in a rash and I was in a lot of pain, so I saw another doctor. I was put in physical therapy. the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I was able to see my doctor, Dr. Thone. She did an X-ray, gave me pain pills, and set me up for a MRI. The MRI showed lesions on my back and hip. So, I went in for a CAT scan showing a spot on my lung. This led to a biopsy of my hip/pelvic area, which came back positive for cancer. Tomorrow, December 20th, I will have a PET scan and I will talk to a radiologist. Thursday, the 21st, we will talk to the cancer doctor. We will keep you updated. In the meantime, your thoughts and prayers are welcome.
