In June 2022, Shari suffered another infection (probably CMV) that is attacking her donor lung. She is in ICU at UT Southwestern's Clements University Hospital. She is very sick and on a ventilator as of Saturday June 4. The next day, her doctor said he saw improvement in all the measurements and monitoring systems, but as he weans her off some of the treatments he has employed, he doesn't know how much they were actually propping her up.
