Welcome to the Caring Bridge for a beautiful soul. Shannon Nord is an incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor. She has a smile that lights up every room she enters. One cannot forget to include her love for the BEAVERS!
On June 20th this amazing sweetheart of ours found a lump in her breast. Shortly after on July 1st she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy on July 20th and was a trooper with all off the healing process. She has Stage 2A breast cancer, the meaning of this comes from lump size and if it has extended to lymph nodes. We are very blessed to know that both of Shannon's tests for genetics and lymph nodes were negative.
Chemotherapy starts September 6th. She will have four sessions, one every three weeks. Her second chemotherapy is scheduled for September 27th. Her other sessions will not be scheduled yet, because the doctors would like to see how she reacts to her first sessions. They will be taking her blood work the day before each chemotherapy session to monitor her blood levels etc.
Shannon would like to thank everyone for all your love, support and prayers during her difficult time.
I am organizing a meal distribution for the family and will be keeping everyone up to date with the needs of the the Nord family. If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to contact me and if I don't have an answer I will be more than happy to find one.
