Hello everyone!  As most of you are aware, I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis as a progression from and autoimmune disorder that I have had since at least 2009.  Things were stable until last October when I caught a simple cold virus which "threw me off the cliff" and sent my lung function spiraling downward.  In December, it was decided that I will need a Double Lung Transplant at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.  I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful team at the U of M and at home here at Fargo Pulmonary.  After weeks of testing, I was listed on February  11th 2019.  I was listed high on the list for my height, antibody panel and blood type.  It could happen very soon or, because as most of you know, I am a rather tall person and matching me will require a donor with about the same dimensions so it could be many months.  Our to-go bags are packed and ready to go.  Lastly, this would not be possible without all the help from my loving wife Tracy who is the BEST caregiver in the world even if I am not the best patient.  She will likely be making posts after I do get the call so from me, a huge "THANK YOU" to her.
