Shanna's world was recently flipped upside down by a diagnosis of breast cancer. Her oncologist is confident that the tumor was detected very early and that she has a good prognosis. Her first step in treatment is surgery to remove the tumor, followed by radiation, and possibly chemotherapy. Once the tumor has been surgically removed, it will be tested thoroughly and the doctor will plan out the rest of her treatment course. Updates will be posted on this site so that her loved ones will have the most up-to-date information without overwhelming Shanna with communications while she is busy resting and recouping.
