On the afternoon of Dec. 10th Shaina was involved in a one person snowmobile accident.  She was transported to St. Mary's in Rochester, MN.   Shaina had surgery to relieve the pressure from her brain and to stop the bleeding as well.  She came out of surgery like a fighter that she is!  She had broken nose, several broken ribs, her left wrist is broken, her right elbow is dislocated and broken as well as her right upper arm, she had surgery on the 15th to fix her elbow.- which has plates and screws in it.  She also has a fracture vertebra in her lower back.  On Jan 8th she was moved to her rehab room to continue the healing process.  On the 19th she got her cast off her wrist- so not she is cast free!
Those of you who know Shaina- you know she is a fighter and won't let this set her back.  We will keep updating the site as we find out more information.
We would like to thank everyone who has sent their well wishes and prayers it means so much to her entire family.   We would also like the thank RHSHC and the ambulance crew who took her up to St. Mary's and the care they gave her in that critical time.  Also all the doctors, nurses, rehab specialist and staff at St. Marys for the excellent care Shaina has received over the last couple months.
