Segismundo Robles

Seg Robles: He is a lot of things to a lot of people and he has worn a lot of hats in his life. You may know him as your fellow CSPD officer (retirement doesn't change that), your excavating contractor, your surrogate Dad, your neighbor, or your friend.
To us, he is the husband of 46 years to Jan, Papa to us three girls (Kareena, Steffi, and Nicole), and father-in-law to our husbands (Brian, Dean, and Chris). He is a brother/brother-in-law, son-in-law, an uncle, and most recently, an Abuelo to Piper, his only grandbaby..
Seg was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2017. This is a terminal illness that involves progressive scarring of the lungs. Recently, UC Health evaluated him and declined to place him on their transplant list. We found hope in St. Joseph's in Phoenix being willing to take on more complex transplant cases. The drawback has been that insurance will not cover the 25k transport cost, as they seemed this non-emergent.

Jan and Seg have decided to take a leap of faith and go, anyway. We are asking for prayers x 1 million for all the steps that are between this transport, transplant, recovery, and return home. And, yes, we are asking for some financial support, too. There is a long road ahead and it comes at a cost.
My parents have spent their lives in service to and caring for others. If you are able to bless them in kind, our family would be greatly appreciative.
I will post updates as we have them. Thank you to all who have reached out and offered prayer and support through the last few weeks.
