Sean Distler

Sean Distler, beloved son, brother and friend. Sean has had battles with cancer starting when he was 12 yrs of age. He has had a very colorful life to date and has been an inspiration to not only his friends and family, but to complete strangers as well. Last year Sean entered his 4th battle with cancer. This time the cancer is in his lungs and scattered throughout his body. In January Sean developed plural effusion in his right lung. With the rapid production of fluid collecting in his lung, a Plurex catheter was installed so that we could manage the draining at home. The first month went well, but then we started developing issues with drainage. Sean is currently in the Ellis Fischel cancer center at University Hospital in Columbia, his home away from home.
