Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Everyone who knows Sean knows he is a daredevil. Unfortunatley, sometimes accidents come along with the adrenaline. Sunday evening, June 17th, he miscalculated a wheelie and wrecked his CR250 dirtbike. I did not see the accident. Thankfully, the neighbor was riding with him and was able to come get me immediately. He told me Sean popped a wheelie, wrecked, and felt numb. Sean did have the presence of mind to ask for me and not try to move until help arrived. Thank God he was wearing his helmet! I fully believe it saved his life.
Sean was flown from the scene to shock trauma where they could assess the extent of his injuries. He had sensation but was unable to move from the neck down. The Dr's removed his C5 vertebra, replaced it with plastic and used a plate to fuse his C4 - C6 vertebrae to stabilize them. Miraculously,  there was no cord damage. Surgery went well and he has been making progress every day, sometimes hour. It's only a matter of time before he's back to his old self. The Dr expects him to make a full recovery. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. Sean knows you've all been asking about him and sending get well soon wishes. Now with this page they can be in one spot for him, and everyone can check in to see his progress. Everyone has been so willing to help and asking what they can do. Well here it is. Let's all give him the encouragement and support that he deserves right here where he can see it.
We all Love and are pulling for you, Sean. You are a wonderful husband who makes me proud every day.
