Scott Mischke

As neighbors and friends, we decided to start this page as a way to keep family and friends up to date on Scott's health. We are hoping this will be a way to share what is happening, as we know Scott is very loved, and many people are concerned. It is our hope that we can alleviate some of the stress for Deb and the kids, and keep everyone informed.

Last Wednesday, roughly 2 hours after losing his Grandma, Scott doubled over with severe pain in his back. After being in the Northfield Emergency Room, and running multiple tests, they discovered his T9 in his spine was fractured. Scott was transported to the Abbott Spine Unit, and from there they found out Scott has Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to other areas in his body. The mass on his spine (T7-9) is putting pressure on his spine.  Scott started radiation treatments immediately, as this is considered a medical emergency to shrink the mass, to prevent him becoming paralyzed. He will have to continue radiation through February 8th . After a three week break, Scott will begin Chemo. The Mischke family is a hard working family who deserves nothing more than a happy ending.  Please keep Scott, Deb, Nate, Linzey, Miles,  and the rest of their family in your prayers. We pray for strength, comfort, and healing.
