Welcome to Scott's caringbridge site! We will do our best to keep all of our wonderful family and friends updated on how he is doing here.
For those of you who don't know, Scott suffered from a massive heart attack while driving on the morning of July 1st, 2017, resulting in a pretty severe car accident. As a result of the crash, he had a collapsed lung, liver lacerations, rib fractions, a pelvic fracture, shattered ankles, and a broken leg. Amidst all this, however, the heart was the primary concern. He lost consciousness during a heart arrhythmia called Ventricular Tachycardia in the ER which required medications, CPR, and 2 shocks. After this, he was rushed to the UW Cath Lab where 2 stints were placed in the left anterior descending coronary artery as well as a temporary pump in his heart called an Impella which helped to offload the work of the heart muscle.
As he continues to fight, we can't express how much we appreciate all the words of hope and encouragement. Having support from you all is what helps us stay strong for him, so thank you in advanced!
In the "Ways to Help" section we have added a link to Scott's GoFundMe to help with medical costs, any and all help is greatly appreciated
