First things first... thank you to everyone for the prayers, kind words, and support!


For anyone that doesn't know yet... Scott was diagnosed with HPV Squamous Cell throat cancer on March 24, 2017.


We have been traveling to U of M Hospital Cancer Center for all testing and this is where he will have his treatments.  This hospital is rated #5 in the nation for his kind of cancer and we are feeling positive with the care he will be given.  With that said... it's a long haul back and forth daily... 156 miles round trip!!


For the good news!  This cancer has a very high success rate... 80-90%... that may sound to some... not so great... but he's young and healthy otherwise... so he can beat this.   The Drs believe this and so do we!


The treatment plan
The primary cancer location is at the base of his tongue and has moved to the lymph nodes in his neck (right side).  The cancer has moved to the area near his tonsil but is very small.  The plan is to eradicate it by means of radiation and chemo treatments.  The radiation treatments will be Monday-Friday for 7 weeks with Chemo being 1 day a week for 7 weeks.  All of this to take place in Ann Arbor MI.

Feel free to leave your well wishes and prayer comments here as Scott will be able to read and respond to everyone about how he is feeling... without having to repeat it several different times,.  The process will be draining and this will help keep everyone updated and stress down.  I mean this in the most loving way.  I'm sorry if it sounds harsh... not intended.
