    Dad (Scott) was having a normal day on Tuesday October 16, 2018. He was going to start loading up his milk truck around 3pm, but could not make his way up the ladder to his dock. Dad noticed that his left arm just wouldn't work, it was limp, and then his tongue starting tingling along with his left leg giving out, thankfully, dad then grabbed his cell phone and dialed 911 right then and told them he knew he was having a stroke. Dad was taken to Rock Valley ER by the RV ambulance which came very quickly and acted fast which we are grateful for. Dad was greatly cared for in the ER (thank you Hegg!!) then flown out to Avera. It was found that dads blood pressure was very high resulting in the stroke. Dad suffered a right sided hemorrhagic stroke.  Dad was taken to Avera ICU where he stayed for 2 days until his blood pressure was controlled and the brain bleed had stopped. Dad is currently at Avera on the neuro unit waiting to get into the rehab unit to begin his journey of therapies. If anyone knows dad well enough, they know that he likes to do things his way, himself. He is not a patient person most days. And he does not enjoy being laid up. This road to recovery is going to take a lot of patience. It's going to take a lot of hard work, and lots of prayers for him. Please pray for dad and us as a family as we go through the recovery not only with him, but with the many unknowns of dads future. Thank you.
