Schelly, found out on 1/13/16 that she had ovarian cancer, and had to have surgery the next Tuesday 1/19/16 to have it removed. During surgery they discovered that it was not ovarian cancer but Peritoneal carcinoma, Peritoneal carcinoma is a rare cancer that develops in the peritoneum. She was able to leave the hospital and come home on Saturday, 1/23/16. Starting in about a week or so she will start undergoing chemo treatments, she will need to have 4 of them in 9 days and repeat that schedule every 3 weeks for 6 total times.
My sister Amelia has started a donation site to help cover some of the costs that schelly will be incurring during her recovery please take a minute to read it..
