Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Bob (Schammy) was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. He went in for what he thought was going to be heart surgery July 20, 2017, and was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer which had spread to  his liver. He tried a round of chemo which he was not able to tolerate. He decided to live out his last days at home, and enjoy life as best he could.
Since then he has been able to play some golf, visit family, drive around in his new truck, and enjoy going to the campground in Wisconsin with family and friends.
He is now entering the final stages of his life. He is staying with me and my family at our home in Esko where we are keeping him comfortable and entertained.
Our daughter Sarah has been very helpful in helping us care for dad and we so appreciate all of the help and support of our family and friends!
I will try to update this site every week unless something monumental changes during the week so that we can share his story with you.

Please keep him in your thoughts as he is approaching the end of his life journey.
