Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Sawyer was born at Maple Grove hospital on July 22nd 2018. Just 7 hours later he went into their NICU with lower oxygen levels. He was then transferred to U of M Children's Masonic hospital. They told us that he had Tetralogy of fallot with absent pulmonary valve.  He required open  heart surgery on day 3 of life.  He was in the hospital for 3 weeks.  He has had 2 Cath procedures to put a stent into his left pulmonary artery and one to balloon it. On February 26th he had to have another open heart surgery.  And he's had some complications from that. We are still in ICU.
Sawyer is such an active 7 month old! He loves being held, bouncing in his jumper and watching his wild 4 year old brother play.  You would never know he had anything wrong with his heart!
