Our daughter Sarah, who is 26 and lives in Reno with her husband Chris and dog Aiden, was diagnosed with Primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma.
Her cancer is a large mass in her chest under the rib cage. Luckily it protruded thru her ribs to be felt as a bump on the skin so it could be discovered. It took several tests before a CT scan show that it was part of a larger mass on Jan 21st. It wasn't until Feb 1st that the biopsy results came back with the B-cell lymphoma diagnosis, Unfortunately, being in her chest, it presses on her organs like lungs and is wrapped around her superior vena cava. That is the main vein returning blood to her heart for the whole upper half of her body. This leads to side effects due to reduced blood flow. She started Chemotherapy 2/11/21. The doctors expect 6 courses of treatment over the next 4.5 months.
