Sandy was diagnosed and treated for Breast cancer in 2000. She noted some indigestion around Christmas of 2019. In early Jan 2020 she had an upper GI scope which was thought to look like gastritis but a biopsy returned metastatic adenocarcinoma. It was determined that it was metastatic breast cancer which had spread to the bone marrow as well as the GI tract. We were hopeful the Chemo would diminish the cancer but she developed ascites from Carcinomatosis with no real help with two types of Chemo. She received last rights of the Catholic church on 4/1/2020.
