Sandy, Mike, and zorro were in a horrific car accident on Friday February 9th around 5:10pm at the intersection of duckwood and Lexington Avenue.  My dad had a green light at 45 MPH while the other car had a blinking left arrow. That car pulled in front of my parents and before they could react they had impact. My dad calls me telling me bad accident and I hear all the screams. My sister and I immediately took off to find them. We get on scene and try to assess everything.  My mom was already in the ambulance we immediately go to her and tell her we are there. My dad was being taken out of the driver seat in obvious pain. Zorro was frightened and scared so my instinct was to grab him and calm him down. He clung to my arms as I ran him to our other car.  Back at the scene my parents are both in their own ambulances. The police officer told us the other driver admitted to their wrong and got a citation.

with all that being said :

My Dad has a broken sternum and is in excrutiating pain.

Zorro Has some inflammation in a disc in his spine and was given an anti inflammatory and a pain medication

and my mother who took the brunt of this... has 10 broken ribs, a broken sternum,a punctured lung, some broken teeth, a broken back, and both ankles broken.

this is going to be a long road for our family and especially my mother with multiple surgeries and care and love.
