In mid August of this year, amid the celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, auctions, and vacations; God's puzzle was working itself together. I have had back pain for several months, initially seeking medical assistance in May...after time and insurance requirements for testing X-rays, CTs , therapy, etc...finally a MRI was scheduled... coincidentally, my annual physical, labs, and mammogram all fell within the same week. Piece one: MRI showed cancer in my spine along with compression fracture in L5, need to discover the primary source of cancer. Piece two: Mammogram showed suspicious spot on right breast need to biopsy. Piece three: diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 3 metastatic in lymph nodes and spine. Piece four: CT scans to check brain, bones, and Echo cardiogram showed mass in liver, spot on 1 lung, and high suspicion on bone= 3 spots on ribs, scapula, sternum, T8, and external skull right now it is stage four. SO the picture is quite a scary one, indeed... I am not afraid! Before the word CANCER even soaked in, I placed it into God's hand...HE HAS THIS!! I had a port placed on Friday, Sept 4th....first Chemo treatment on Tuesday, Sept 8th... AND here we go This is my journey Beating Cancer's Butt!
