Sandra has been diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a degenerative nerve condition for which there is no treatment. She takes a medication for Parkinson's disease which currently helps lessen her symptoms. She is in a nursing facility in Bigfork where she is getting really great care and working hard in physical therapy. PSP affects many areas of the body and has similarities to (as is often diagnosed as) Parkinson's and Alzheimers, but it is it's own very particular disease. More information can be found at
