Our dear friend Sandy was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndromes) in 2013. She has remained asymptomatic for the past 2 1/2 years. She recently began medical treatment to prepare her for a bone marrow transplant she needs. On Monday 9/5 Sandy came down with a fever and was admitted to Cayuga Medical Center. We have created this space to communicate updates on Sandy's condition, and to provide support for her family and friends.
