Sandy is a caregiver.   It's her nature.   She likes to make things better.   Five years ago she discovered she had idiopathic pulmonary fibrocystic disease.  There is no cure.   They gave her 5 years to live.  And they were right.   By last week it was clear that my sister was dying.   Thanks to her own determination to fight and the amazing transplant team at OSU...today Sandy is taking her first breaths with new lungs.     Miracles are real.  Never doubt the power of prayer and the human spirit.
