Sandra Spencer

Our loving grandmother, mother, sister and friend, Sandy Spencer, is in need of some caregiving assistance.

As many of you know, Sandy has been diagnosed with dementia. A recent illness where she became septic led to episodes that have pushed her further into the stages of dementia and an overall need for help in her day to day life.

Due to the restrictions for visitors during COVID-19, we are motivated to help grandma stay in her apartment as long as possible. In order to achieve that goal, we are humbly asking for the help of our friends, family and community to assist us.

Currently, we are seeking those willing to do a “shift” (of whatever length) to come and sit with Sandy, perhaps assisting her to make sure she can get to the bathroom via her walker, engaging her in conversation, and ensuring she is safe at home. These could be as short as an hour or as long as overnight. We have a full setup in the guest room for caregivers staying the night, with fresh bedding and baby monitors set up.

Thank you all so much!
