Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

My story begins on the night of June 19, 2016.  I had pain on my right side that wouldn't go away. The next day, the pain was still severe.  I had my son, Jeff, take me to the emergency room in Riverside.  It was concluded after a few tests that my gallbladder needed to be removed. When the surgeon came into visit, he was not convinced that my gallbladder was the issue.  After many more tests, and several days later it was determined that I had a not one lesion, but two.  The first lesion was found on my trachea and around my right clavicle.  The second, on the back area of my brain.  As an orthopedic and oncology nurse for many years, I knew in my heart what the diagnosis would be - cancer. Specifically, small non-cell carcinoma that had metastasized to my brain. I will have radiation and chemo directed at the lesion on my brain to keep the DNA cells from spreading.  My story will continue as I am a fighter and will not give up.  I am a McGregor, a Scot, a Child of the Mist.  Please keep me in your prayers.  Thank you.
