As most of you already know, Sandy has been diagnosed with Peritoneal cancer, a rare form that develops in the peritoneum—the thin layer of tissue that lines the abdomen. Though it is not currently curable, managed care can keep the disease at bay to allow for more quality time with friends and family. As we write this, the caring staff at Shalom Home is helping her to regain her fitness and to soon return home, where she longs to be. We have started this website so that we can better communicate her needs and update everyone about her condition. We want you all to know how much we appreciate the love and support you have shown Sandy during this difficult time. The outpouring of support has moved us deeply. We encourage you to use the guest book and to share the link to this site with others who know and care for Sandy. We will update it as we have new information to share.
