Hi everyone. We are creating this site to keep those who are interested up to date on things. Over the 4th of July holiday we found out about a new addition to the family. His name is Fred. Fred is unwelcome and will be receiving his eviction notice shortly. He is a (presumably benign) 6 cm meniningioma sitting on my brain. Six cm is big when it is crammed in your head, by the way. Surgery will be July 20 at St. Luke's in the Houston Medical Center. It should take between 5-6 hours and I will hopefully be coming home within a couple of days. No driving or real work for 4 weeks, but then I should come back better than I have been in years. Fred has been around a while making me slowly stupid.  I am ready to be smart again. Please be patient with me through my part of this journey as Fred is starting to make it hard to think and remember things sometimes.

I would like to thank everyone for all of the love and support I have received  already, and for all I know is coming. I have the best friends and family a girl could possibly hope for. I am grateful to all of you.  Please forgive us if we cannot always respond quickly, but we will do our best.
