Thank you for visiting and sharing with others who might be interested in updates on Sammie's condition. On Friday, December 20, 2019 Sammie had a cerebellar stroke. He was taken to Boone Hospital and was beginning to recover from that event. On Friday, December 27, 2019 he experienced another stroke while in ICU. Although doctors immediately attempted to remove the clot that caused the stroke, they were unsuccessful and this stroke has left him without movement on his left side and without ability to communicate by speech. As of today, January 1, 2020 he remains in ICU at Boone Hospital now with a feeding tube and breathing tube while the medical staff and family wait to see how his body will respond. He has also developed a staph infection, for which he is aggressively being treated. Many are asking how Donna is doing and how they can help. Sammie needs prayers. Prayers for a miracle of healing, but always for God's will for his life. Donna needs prayers as well. Prayers for strength, patience, wisdom to make decisions, and most of all peace.
