HEYYYY AGAIN EVERYONE!!
So great news, as of 5/22/22 I am free of Leukemia... but I'm baaaccckkkk... with another kind!

Hi Everyone, 

I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on 7/27/17 and was pregnant at the time. Original due date was September 25th, 2017. 

Due to the combination of my diagnosis and pregnancy,  I was treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL from 7/25/17 through 9/5/17 where I was induced at 35 weeks because this was the "best balance" for gestational age and the need for a stronger treatment for my Leukemia.

I gave birth on August 24, 2017 to a beautiful and perfect daughter, Ryleigh Azalea Rey who was in the NICU for about a week and a half due to her being delivered at 35 weeks, but got go to home with Dad on 9/5/17. I was transferred to the Naples hospital on the same day and am currently receiving chemotherapy going back and fourth between inpatient and home. 

I have decided to start this blog as an easy way to share medical updates with anyone that is interested, that way everyone can check in when they have time and I only have to post to one site rather than sending out multiple text messages, etc. 

Please feel free to share this website with anyone that is interested.  Also, please feel free to text me directly if you have any further questions. 

I am truly over-whelmed by all of the AMAZING and INCREDIBLE support that I have received since getting this diagnosis.

I am taking everything day-by-day, staying positive (and most importantly BUSY!) 

I am confident that I will beat this disease and am SOOOOOOO excited to have such a wonderful family!
