December 11th 2016 Samantha was on her way home from working at Target in Coon Rapids, and it was a snowy day. While driving eastbound on Highway 10, she hit an icy patch, and lost control of her car. She slid off the road, hit a concrete light pole, and then careened into the sound barrier wall. She sustained severe injuries to both her legs. She broke her Tibia and Fibia bones towards the bottom of her right leg. She broke many bones in her right foot as well. Her left leg suffered a severe cut across her knee, and a hairline Femur fraction in the same area.
As serious as her injuries were , we are blessed that none of her injuries were life threatening . It's going to be a long recovery for her. Right now we are going one day at a time.
