Welcome to Sally Mack's CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated on Sally's situation. We appreciate all of your support and expressions of love for Sally during this difficult time.

For those who don't know, Sally was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of July.  She had a lumpectomy in mid July, and her lymph nodes were clear.  But it was a large and aggressive tumor, so we knew that there was still a chance it would spread.  She had radiation throughout the month of October, which she handled well and was in good spirits after.  But on February 16th we learned that the cancer had metastasized.  A week later we discovered that it had spread to her spine and brain.  The latter is the “life-limiting” factor, and her prognosis at the time was “weeks to months.”  She had 5 days of radiation on her lower spine, then on Feb. 27 she came home from the hospital into home hospice care.
