Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. It all started when we thought that mom was having some gall bladder issues. Mom isn't one to  go to the doctor, so we had to do some persuading. Finally, she went and had an ultra sound where they saw a suspicious mass. On December 5th she had a CT scan which confirmed our fears~ the mass on the Pancreas is
cancer and it has metastasized to the liver. Since, she has gone through four surgeries to try and put in a stent. They were successful a few days before Christmas.  The doctors have told us that she has less than 6 months to live. This news  has of course, shocked us!  But we are clinging to what we know about God, for He is not shocked by this. And although mom is sad and tearful for her family, she is confident that she is going to heaven where God has been preparing a place for her.  Scripture is comforting and a passages that has been just that to mom is Matt. 11:28-30,  "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and by burden is light."  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement . We covet your prayers for her and for us (her family) as we journey these days with her.  We will keep you posted as much as we can on how things are going.  Thank you for your love, support, and prayers!!
