In 2015 Sally was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called MDS. After 2 years of chemotherapy Sally and Jim decided to have a second opinion and went to Boston 's Dana Farber Hospital as well as the James Cancer Institute in Columbus. They both agreed with her doctors in Cincinnati that she should have a bone marrow transplant while she was still in good health. They have decided to do the transplant here in Cincinnati at the OHC at Jewish Hospital. She will be admitted into the hospital on Thursday, June 22nd and will have 5 days of intensive chemotherapy and then will have the transplant on Thursday, June 28th. She will stay at Jewish Hospital for approximately one month. This page is for Sally's friends and family to keep them updated on her progress.
