Sally Davidson Marovich

Thank you for your outpouring of love and support for the Marovich family.  
Sally's life will be celebrated at Christ the King (Evergreen) church on Thursday, June 20th at 10 A.M.  Her family will host a catered  reception at their home following the service.   
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made ( in Sally's name) to the Barbara Davis Center's Jewels for Hope, and/or the American Lung Association, (Alpha Pulmonary Disorders).

Matt, Ben, Carrie, and Ron have enjoyed the stories, pictures, flowers, and food friends have shared.  They would like to direct any  friends' future gifts of food  to the local Echo food bank .

Winter Update:  
Dear Friends of Breathe for Sally.  When life brings us lemons, we make lemonade.  This week we are making lemonade to remember that the promise of Spring is around the corner.  Sally has bravely faced test after test.  She has met with specialists, doctors, administrators, etc., in both Colorado and Arizona.  They have concluded that Sally is not a candidate for a double lung transplant.  She continues to work hard in rehab to strengthen her body in an effort to require less oxygen.  The medications seem to help her in this effort and she will continue her workout and medicine regime with her excellent and caring doctors.  Though we all share her disappointment, knowing and loving Sally, as we all do, we are assured that she will maintain her amazing faith and strive to keep healthy.  We have to wait for the next medical breakthrough and cheer on doctors and labs working on cures.

In addition, we know that Sally will continue to require medication and rehab.  Sally and her family have saved the contributions to her Bank and GoFundMe account  for the anticipated transplant.  I hope that the funds we raised can be maintained for future medical needs.  However, if you wish to have your contribution returned, please contact me directly:  pendleton.oliver@gmail.com.  I will be closing the GoFundMe account at the end of February.  


Periodically, I will update you on Sally's condition on this Caring Bridge site.  Check in often!  As always your help with her garden in the Spring and other volunteer opportunities will be posted here.  We will look forward to raising a glass of yummy lemonade with Sally when the pasque wildflowers peek through the melting snow.  We are grateful for your love and support.

Sally Davidson Marovich excels in every endeavor she pursues.  She is an amazing wife, mother, artist, teacher, volunteer, and FRIEND.  Currently, Sally is pursuing her dream of a double lung transplant.  Throughout her 20 years of suffering with COPD, she has worked hard to stay healthy.  In 2016, her pulmonologist suggested that she begin testing for a double lung transplant.  She has been through testing for months and has successfully been accepted  in the University of Colorado Health Center's list.   Exciting News!    In true Sally fashion, she is organizing for the days immediately proceeding her transplant, family support through the hospitalization, and post surgery details.   She has to be on the road within 30 minutes of receiving the call from the hospital!  You can follow her progress on this site.  If you wish to be a part of her journey we are gathering  together those who will join us in such things as : prayers, meals, make her laugh, errands, walking, drivers,  caregiver relief,  and fundraising.   If you wish to message Sally,  leave your posts here on the Caring Bridge.  Availability of her other email will be limited.  Also, please use the email: breatheforsally@gmail.com to let  "Sally's Support Team"  know  in what area you would be willing to help.  Fundraising sites such as Gofundme, wepay.com, as well as a special account at  are being arranged at this time.   Most  volunteer activities will be managed through a site called Meal Train .  Please let  "The Team" know if you can help  and in what area during this exciting time by using breatheforsally@gmail.com.  Let's all join together and help make her dream to breathe come true.
