Ryne tested positive for Covid on Christmas break of 2020. Fast forward to a month later and he still had fever, bad cough, and stomach pains. Our primary care physician ordered some tests and discovered two large, baseball sized, masses in Ryne’s liver along with a couple of smaller masses on 1/28. Pathology has come back as poorly differentiated malignant neoplasm with the markers for aggressiveness at 80-90%. After an upper endoscopy, a 7cm tumor was found in Ryne’s esophagus and was determined to be the original source. Ryne’s final diagnosis is stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the age junction with metastasis to the liver. Several other cancer survivors have recommended Caringbride as a way to keep everyone updated, and we thought it sounded like a great idea. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, pray and support us on this journey. We love you all.
