Ryan Torkelson

Hello- this is Meghan Ryan’s wife I thought putting this together would be a good way to get updates to everyone  on Ryan. For this who do not know I had to rush Ryan to the hosipital on Thursday Febuary 14 with extreme stomach pain after a medical procedure he had on the Monday before.  He has been having stomach issues for the last couple months and has been seeing a doctor but that is whole different story.  After tests in the er they saw that he had a perfareted bowel and an infection. They admitted him to the hospital that day and tried to clear up  the infection with IV antibiotics. By Friday morning his white blood cell count rose way to high and he started getting worse. They had to rush him into surgery that morning and what was supposed to be a 3 hour surgery turned into  a 5 hour surgery and a long time in the recovery room. Nick and I did get to see him before he went in but did not  see him again until 6:30 that night.  His infection ended up being way worse than they thought and he had with major stomach surgery. It’s going to be a long recovery and another surgery but feeling very loved with all the support we have been given. I will update this as much as I can. Thank you Meghan and Nick.
