Hi everyone! We are using CaringBridge to keep family and friends updated in one place. We are grateful for your prayers and words of hope and encouragement!

**The “Tributes”/ donate button on this page is for CaringBridge and not for the Teglovic family.**

On January 16th, Ryan was taken to the emergency room because of abdominal pain. Later that evening, the Shelby doctors decided he needed to see a gastroenterologist because there was a blockage in his biliary tube, so they transferred him to Riverside hospital.

On Jan.18, the doctors placed a stent in his biliary tube and saw a suspected tumor in his pancreas (the tumor was pushing on the biliary tube, creating the blockage). From there, the oncologist confirmed that Ryan has pancreatic cancer.

Ryan came home on the 19th and returned on the 20th to have his chemo port placed. The doctors were not able to place the port that day. However, they did one last test which gave them clear answers the cancer hadn't spread (praise God!).

We are very thankful that the tumor was positioned to block the biliary tube; if it hadn't been, the tumor wouldn't have been found until much later. Ryan will be starting his first round of chemo soon. Thank you for praying!
