Ryan became covid positive on October 16th. He woke on the 15th with a sore throat, cough and fever. Everyday, we would ask if he had any trouble breathing. He always said no. Our biggest worry was treating his fever pretty much round the clock. On Sunday October 24th, we noticed rapid breathing. We bought a pulse ox monitor that said his o2 was 76% We went straight to AI because that was the closest hospital and since at 20, but still hadn’t changed docs. They stabilized him and transferred him to Christiana. He was admitted on Sunday and we were able to Face Time him since he was a covid patient and isolated. We got the call at 2:30 am from the doc that we are moving your son to the ICU and will intubate him in the next 12 hours. Monday was just a day of torture for us. He has made slow progress and has a long road ahead. but through prayer and positive thoughts, we know he will pull through. He is a strong kid and has a strong support system. #chettystrong
